OCEAN TERRACE INN APPOINTS STEVE TYSON
NEW GENERAL MANAGER
Basseterre, St. Kitts – Ocean Terrace Inn (OTI) is pleased to announce that Steve Tyson has been appointed as its new General Manager, effective May 9, 2019. Tyson will lead the management team and oversee all aspects of operations at St. Kitts’ only four-star boutique hotel, ideally located near the capital city of Basseterre.
Known for his attention to detail, his knack for highly-personalized customer service and his all-hands-on-deck approach to leadership, Tyson brings the wealth and depth of a twenty-seven year career in the hospitality industry to the fore. After beginning his tenure as a passionate hotelier in 1991 with an eight-year stint at the Four Seasons Resort, Nevis, Tyson has held various management positions at luxury properties across the Federation including Rooms Division Manager at the Nisbet Plantation Beach Club, Nevis; General Manager at Paradise Beach Resort, Nevis; and most recently, Housekeeping Manager at Park Hyatt, St. Kitts.
His near three decades of experience in the field has translated into a keen understanding of standards required to create exceptional guest experiences and the mastery of operations required to deliver them seamlessly. It has also shaped his comprehensive familiarity with Human Resource Management, Finance, Sales & Marketing and Security departments and skills.
Commenting on his new appointment, Mr. Tyson said, “I am gratified by the opportunity to lead the OTI team and look forward to continuing the focus on excellence and enhancing the service culture.
