Basseterre, St. Kitts – St. Kitts is kicking off the New Year hosting The Opus Group’s 14th Annual Leadership Summit, a prestigious business networking event that connects buyers and suppliers together in an informal environment to foster business development in unique destinations. The Summit will be held from January 5-9, 2015, and showcase the island as a prime location for meeting, incentive, corporate and event travel.
“As the global economy continues its recovery and business travel is increasing as a result, this is an ideal time to showcase St. Kitts as a viable and appealing option for this niche market,” said Racquel Brown, CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority. “With so many of the industry’s top buyers and sellers in hospitality receiving a first-hand experience of our product, we expect an increase in group bookings that will benefit our tourism stakeholders as well as local individuals working in tourism-related businesses. We are especially glad to have Hans Birkholz, CEO, Windstar Cruises, Robert Lepisto, President, Seadream Yacht Club and Sean Mahoney, President Silversea Cruises participate in the summit, as cruise business is an important part of our tourism industry.”
All guests will be arriving and departing in grand style via the YU Lounge private jet terminal and staying at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort & Royal Beach Casino. In addition to the daily business networking event itself, the nearly 80 participating corporate travel planners will be treated to nightly dinners and VIP receptions at island establishments including Nirvana Restaurant at Fairview Great House and Botanical Gardens, The Pavilion Beach Club at Christophe Harbour, Belle Mont Farm at Kittitian Hill and Carambola Beach Club. They will also be hosted for a day of various fun recreational activities, including a Jeep adventure, Scenic Railway tour, Golf at the Royal ST. Kitts Golf Club, ziplining with Sky Safari and ATV tours. Further, the participants will spend a day at the Four Seasons Resort Nevis, where they will enjoy the pool, beach, spa services, golf and lunch. Pre- and post-event stays are also being offered at the Four Seasons Resort Nevis.
